Job Duties/ ResponsibilitiesReporting and Subject Matter ExpertiseDevelop and provide routine and non-routine reports of complex scope using multiple reporting systemsAbility to answer any questions with respect to those reportsProvide analytical commentary and recommendations on reports publishedAct as business unit liaison with other business unitsCreate and streamline processes and reports related to projects assigned.Prepare and present presentations to all levels of the organization; highlighting accomplishments, trends and opportunities for the front line wholesalersAnalyze data and develop creative solutions. Ability to provide ongoing updates via written and verbal communicationsRelationship Management.Network with USAS customers and business partners on a timely basis to understand their needs and ensure these needs are being met and they are scalable, supportable and sustainableEnsure high level of service to customers/business partners.Be the point of contact in the team for junior analysts to answer queries and handle escalationsSocialize the improvements and suggestions made by the team with sales management and get their buy-inEngage in and promote customer interaction Working on Analytics projectsBe the Analytics subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of the business as well as the technology used to support the business ex. Visual Analytics (Tableau) and SQL based reporting and Analytics systems (Microstartegy, SAS etc.)Participate in the data formulation process which may include identification of attributes, exploratory data analysis, data transformation and temporal layoutResearch and document complex business issues involving workflow, trade-related data, database items, procedures and processes. Work with other areas within organization; for example, FTT, to resolve issueWork with the senior leaders to identify gaps and opportunities by running analytics on the market information and making recommendationsLiaising with others Analytics teams within the company to identify synergies and best practicesBe the single point of contact for data governance for any analytical projects that Franklin Templeton takes up with external vendorsQualifications III. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 7 10 years of relevant experience (analytics domain) in the financial services industryMasters in Economics, Statistics or MBA from tier 1/ tier 2 institute or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in working with data that is often not clean, including but not limited to both structured and un-structured dataExperience in working with data visualization tools and SQL based business intelligence applicationsStrong Sales and Marketing business insight. Strong problem solving skills and proven leadership ability.Ability to work in a time-sensitive environmentExperience building, managing or maintaining customer information systems and/or customer data. Understanding of customer relationship management practices, relational database technology, data warehousing theory, data modeling, technical writing, and operating systems. Experience with developing and managing multiple large-scope projects.Excellent organization, planning and leadership skills required, including proven management and follow through skills. Strong staff development skills.Strong analytics background
