Design, maintain and implement overall ER strategy, policies and activities, aligned with commercial and HR functional requirements across IndiaTrack all disciplinary cases/ethics hotline (grievance disclosure channel) complaints across India for satisfactory resolutionInvestigation and reporting of the ethical/disciplinary cases on a need basisWorking with award staff union office-bearers on grievances, agreement specifications, disciplinary actions etc.Create/modify, consolidate and communicate/implement HR Policies (excluding C&B related) aligned with commercial and HR functional requirements across the legal vehicles in IndiaTo assist in the planning and delivery of training, briefings, workshops etc. in relation to personnel policy and procedures, as requiredInvolvement in HR Strategic Projects as requiredCoordinate internal and external reviews and internal auditExperience of corporate laws with specialization in employment/labor lawsAssist and coordinate all HR litigation matters with external counsels and internal teamsUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesReading professional publicationsConversant and thorough with amendments and updates in the field of employment and labor lawsMaintain controls and enhance effectiveness by developing case information, evidence and settlement optionsTracking casesSupporting ActionsPartner with stakeholders to ensure implementation of overall ER Strategy definedMaintain and update DC trackerPreparation for CDC on regular basisClosure and reporting of cases as requiredInteraction with staff based on requirement and support in case of needUnderstand existing policies and updation as per regulatory normsStreamline existing processes and policies to standardize the understanding and deliveryProduce regular updates for all staff on changes to the relevant HR policiesAdvise/support HRGs on material ER issues translating business strategy and challenges into practical ER solutionsIdentify need for trainingDevelop training design and content for roll outAs defined by projectEngage with internal and external auditors for submissions and responsesAdvice and support HR teams on ER mattersProvide legal opinion and draft responsesMaintain and track all HR legal mattersUpdate Law Manager with latest progress on HR legal casesSupports case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferencesPreparing pleadingsMonitoring and obtaining responsesOrganizing materials for team case review Qualifications Knowledge/ExperienceKnowledge on labor/employment law with understanding of justice delivery system in the countryExperience in drafting/editing policy documentation and ensuring legally compliantInnate interest in developments in employment environmentGood understanding of the various functional areas within HR and their role/importanceExperience of working in a highly complex, international, matrix organizationSkillsDetail oriented and proactiveNegotiation SkillsReporting and research skillsLegal Administration SkillsManaging litigation and client relationships and confidentialityDecision makingQualificationsPost-graduate degree in Human Resource ManagementFull-time graduation in General Law from a recognized universityCompetenciesProcess orientationGood communication and presentation skillsExcellent written English skills particularly in drafting policy documentationAbility to analyze and concisely explain both verbally and in writing legislative and/or policy changesAbility to multi-task within a demanding environment
