Responsibilities includeRecruit, manage and mentor a high quality product engineering team.Experience in building development teams from ground up and handling teams in different geographical locations.Own and drive effective on-boarding of the new hires.Initial acquisition and ongoing upgrade of team skills - through process, communication and technical training.Drive strategic proof of concepts & functional initiatives.Implement and educate code quality and coding standards within the development tribe.Manage agile engineering teams by advising and implementing industry best practices of Agile.Ability to link technology solutions to business priorities and represent technology decisions in executive forums.Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Architects to identify and allocate development resources to various Product Areas owned by Product Owners.Collaborate with the Release teams to establish development policies and qualifying parameters as applicable to release readiness of the product.Identify key members, theirs strengths, and provide career development and training plans.Drive performance review engagements of the development tribe by collaborating with Product Owners and Product Architects.Maintain visibility, build relationships and promote communication within engineering team by conducting regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions and encouraging an open exchange of ideas and information.Experience15+ year s successful experience in leading software engineering teams.At least 10+ year's of experience in leading senior engineering talent and managing a high performance team.History of building and developing engineering teams for successful enterprise applications.A mix of Start-up and large company success and experience in leading and collaborating a globally distributed and cross functional organization.Demonstrated success in establishing a streamlined software development process including solid documentation and exceptional functional quality and reliability.Demonstrated product experience in one or more of the following area SaaS, Enterprise Software, Mobile Applications, and/or Analytics.Demonstrated experience developing effective strategies to build and sustain diverse, robust talent pools.Candidates with experience only in IT Services environment will not suit this requirement.Leadership & Management Behavioral Competencies Highly motivated self-starter - must bring energy and passion to the job and organizationExcellent listener, communicator and proven collaborator with superiors, peers and staff.The successful candidate will be smart, candid, detail oriented, direct and non- political, with a highly developed sense of ethics, energy, confidence, creativity and ambitionThe successful candidate will have experience working in a best practices organization and will have a passion for developing and monitoring metrics to track effectiveness.The successful candidate will shape the culture and create an environment allowing engineers to flourish as they deliver high-quality products on time in a fast changing environmentThe successful candidate must be able to challenge the team/organization while holding them accountable for their commitments.A compelling leadership style that includes exceptional people management skills, program management, business and technology expertise with a style that inspires confidence in ServiceMax and its products.Hands-on and entrepreneurial style--one that looks to become personally involved in all elements of managing their functional responsibility, and someone who seeks to develop like-minded managers with similar capabilities.
