Drive Incident/Problem resolution by assisting in key operational activities in terms of delivery, fixes, and supportability with operations staff and/suppliersCoordinate application testing with business users for major changes in infrastructure and connected applicationsMaintain application asset inventoriesAssist in change ticket review / approvals / planningEnsure operation runbooks, support guidelines, and procedures are produced and maintained for useAssist in representing the DS SOM towards the Downstream IT Business Managers for landscapes in scope sharing relevant information and managing priorities/escalationsCoordination of Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and Test execution for the critical business applications within the landscape including maintaining the application and infrastructure landscape documentation on an annual basis, document failover process, criteria and timingsAssist with evidence collection of regulatory and compliance controlsAssist with Transition to Support activitiesEscalation point for operation-related issuesEnsure critical batch job completion after a system outage or failurePerform standard Service Delivery Operations for the applications delivered through 3rd Party VendorsCoach more junior analysts on tasks and processes Dimensions and Special ChallengesNo direct reports, although this will be the senior OLM position within the teamIndirect Reports in 3rd party supplier support teams supporting our applicationsApproximately 60 applications within the portfolio out of which approximately 1 is Business CriticalResponsible for on site infrastructure escalations for 50+ production plants and 150+ warehousesVirtual working in a global environment with culturally diverse teams. Managing multiple delivery priorities and multiple demand requests. Working with multiple stakeholders in various organisations.Risks - License to Operate, Global reputation, $100's of millions at riskFailure within these systems could have effects on Shell's reputation and ability to participate in these markets and fines would be very substantialThis position manages overall delivery, outages, for landscapes thereby ensuring availability, reliability, and overall supportability on a 7x24, 365 day basis. If this job is not done well and accurately, any/all of the repercussions above could occur.RequirementsQualifications and SkillsRequiredMinimal 5 years of experience in development and/or support of software/applications and a minimum of 8 years overall work exerpienceExperience in applications support and support processes, specifically ITILPrior experience in IT with applications support and IT services management (Specifically Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management)Strong stakeholder, interpersonal relationship, and negotiation skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAwareness of basics in network design and operationsGraduate / Post Graduate with relevant experience preferably in Application Development & Support / Project ManagementAbility to take calls outside of working hours to facilitate working in a global environment
Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
