AccountabilitiesSupports the effective execution of the Enterprise Change Management process ensuringEfficient implementation of changes;Clear accountability for implementation of changes and approvals;Appropriate risk assessment and mitigation;Minimization of business disruption; andEffective coordination and communication.Coordinating Change Management activities, enquiries and approvals in accordance with the agreed enterprise processes across Shell users and 3rd party suppliersPreparing pre-requisite documentation for the various Change Advisory Board meetings and forums and providing administrative support for the stakeholders review, assessment and approval of changesCoordinating, running and documenting the Forward Schedule of ChangesManaging planned and unplanned change control periodsEnsuring data quality is accurate and complete so all change tickets can be associated with the correct change approval groupsSupports the successful execution of the Release Management processManaging and maintaining a master release schedule ensuring all forecasted releases are recorded Dimensions and Special ChallengesAn enterprise wide role with the requirement to work in collaboration with people from all parts of the Shell businesses, with multiple suppliers and with the Risk and Controls DepartmentShell has an average volume of 100,000 changes a yearWorking in a virtual team across multiple time zones requires working in shifts to provide 24 x 5 supportManaging time and work-life balance is critical.Gaining the trust of virtual stakeholdersDelivering through others without formal line management authorityWorking very closely with 3rd party suppliers in order to provide a seamless end-to-end change and release management service RequirementsQualifications and SkillsMandatoryA graduate with a minimum of 5-8 years of IT experienceITIL certifications at both the foundation and intermediate level, preferably inRelease, Control & ValidationSkilled in executing and managing operational ITIL processes specifically Change and Release Management across large infrastructure and application environmentsSkilled in data analysis and identifying trends / patterns to address root causes of issuesSkilled in effective problem solvingTechnical skilled in using Service Management tools, Microsoft Office Excel (tables, charts, pivot tables) & PowerPoint and reporting tools Good interpersonal and communication skills using different mediumsSkilled in being able to influence others without formal authority to deliver desired resultsSkilled in being able to work independently across different organizational boundaries, cultures and in a globally and virtual environmentFluent in the English language both verbal and writtenOpen to rotating between Shifts periodically. PreferredSkilled in negotiated win win solutions with stakeholderSkilled in executing and managing operational ITIL processes specifically service level, availability and Incident Management across large infrastructure and application environmentsCertifications in LEAN would be advantageousSkills in Excel reporting, VBA and Business Objects
