The ResponsibilitiesKey deliverablesProvide and agree short-dated funding requirements with Short Term Markets, Emerging Markets, Equities and Collateral/Repo Desks both intraday and to meet funding deadlines.Accurate and timely funding of all book level balances.Manage and contribute to the production of Key performance indicators and monitoring and achieving against these metricsTake ownership of & resolve any issues through pro-active communication across all level required to ensure correct funding for products assigned.Maintain up to date procedural documentationContribute and support UAT / system testing and system / process improvement initiatives as required for business.Ensure that all reports / outputs relating to BAU / reconciliations are produced on time and are of high quality.Maintain and enhance the systems and processes supporting substantiation for Internal & External Risk &Control adherence.Develop an understanding of Finance Architecture changes and the impact of these on team processesBecome a Subject Matter Expert, providing understanding and knowledge on specific accounting topics related to the work of the team.Ensure all Secondary Nostro accounts are swept flat or within tolerance.Work with Cash Funding Post Value Analysis team to ensure correct balance distribution and cost allocation for shared nostros.Ensure migration initiatives are funded correctly.Provide support to change programs impacting Cash Funding.Strict management of team mailboxes, responding to queries within SLAAdherence to checklists, controls & procedures The RequirementsEssential ExperienceSpecific business knowledge & technical knowledge requiredUnderstanding of Nostro accounts and Nostro fundingKnowledge of front to back trade lifecycleAwareness of controls and operational riskAble to demonstrate initiative and past experience of working under little or no supervisionGood Microsoft skills, particularly Excel Supplementary ExperienceKnowledge and experience of Fixed Income, Equities and/or Derivatives businessSWIFT payment experienceGood system knowledge (including Euclid, Intellimatch, TLM)Advanced Microsoft/IT skills (including Access & VBA)Experience of Nostro funding and reconciliation Personal AttributesAttention to detail & ability to work both individually and within a teamFlexible with a positive attitude to changeProfessional attitude and ability to influence and educate othersConfident business manner with strong communication skills inspiring trust in othersProactive and able to challenge status quoGood time management with ability to work within deadlinesEmbraces the core RBS Values and ThemesClient Focused
