Essential ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will integrate and develop plans and processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy and growth. Drive global/local ownership growth in Control & Software domain with contemporary leadership skills Lead engineering managers, technical leaders and a design team of 100+ high potential engineers through the product design life cycle from requirements to final validation and successful implementation for regional plus international programs and new product development (e.g. Next generation controls MCA) programs. Establish organization priorities/goals in line with business needs. Provide leadership for assuring design execution quality, responsiveness & timeliness, along with technical direction for assigned programs and personnel. Ensure proper resource allocation, clear roles & responsibilities assignment and on-time flawless execution, ensuring close co-ordination with all interfaces. Own, manage & meet all functional budgets, execute to the allocated budget while meeting business schedule/on-time delivery and quality. Own & Lead People review process, with responsibility for employee development & performance management. Grow, develop and mentor leaders & technologists. Build technical & leadership pipeline for the team; execute strategic and tactical workforce planning Grow local ownership, technical depth and validation and lab capabilities. Pro-actively partner & connect cross-functionally with systems engineering, program management, commercial teams, services, field engineers and with global counterparts within team to meet customer commitments & drive continuous improvements Provide support council and recommendations to other leaders, including General Manager, drive cross-team interactions, transparency and build culture of trust. Embrace Fast Works and drive MGTP and innovation opportunity generation. Implement initiatives to continuously improve the responsiveness and flexibility of the section /organization to customer/business needs. Effectively communicate technical and financial aspects vertically and horizontally in the organization Ensure regulatory & intellectual property compliance rigor & maintain "No excuses" leadership culture with integrity, EHS, Safety and Emissions compliance.Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Controls systems/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Minimum of 16+ years experience with controls and S/W development, with 8+ years in functional leadership role within a global engineering environment. Experience in managing operations of an offshore development team and lab infrastructure with close interactions with local cross-functions and global counterparts. Strong track record of people management ability to lead managers & individual contributors Proven strong interpersonal, influencing, communication and leadership skills. Proven track record of delivering results and leading teams in dynamic business environment. Ability and willingness to travel as required.
Degree: ME/ M.Tech./ MS (Engg/ Sciences)

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
