BE/B. Tech in Electronics and Communication or M.E/M.Tech/ PhD in RF and Microwave area Minimum 16 Years of experience in RF products design and development specifically Radios, Satellite Modems, Transponders and RADAR.Responsibility; Accountable and owner of complete RF product design life cycle and development Carry out critical high level and low level RF design, critical design reviews, RF performance impact analysis due to firmware and software change Accountable and owner of technical decisions during product RF HW development Good understanding of signal processing and its impact on RF performance Deriving RF PBA (Printed Board Assembly) architecture based on MOPS and HW/System requirements Responsible for Design for Manufacturability (DFM), higher manufacturing yield and optimal DTC (Design-To-Cost) target Evaluate and suggest suitable technologies and platforms for RF products development Work as interface between HTS and Honeywell Technology Chief Engineers/Fellows and influence technical decisions Analyze and identify the root cause(s) of the problems and develop alternatives to solve the problems Use technical capability and significant problem solving analysis to establish most effective solution for complex problems that involve interaction of several technical disciplines Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria while designing/reviews/debugging RF products/circuits Generate, evaluate, select and implement solutions which are equal to the industrys state of the art Take care of minimum project management practices which helps to drive project scope, cost, risks and schedule to required level Principal author or co-author of multiple project proposals which were selected for fundingSTRATEGIC IMPACT Prepare technology roadmaps for RF HW used in Avionics Communication and Navigation products (Example - Radios, Transponders, Satellite Data Units, and RADAR etc.) Assist COE and RF Function Leader in preparing Technology Business Roadmaps and competitor analysis Recognize potential new products ideas, new RF HW Platforms and work primarily with Honeywell staff, customers, and potential partners to influence technical and business impact. Technical advances produce substantial organic growth based on innovation. Involve in complex business objectives such that early, thorough identification and evaluation of cost/schedule factors can play a key role in optimum selection of technical alternatives Develop measures to support initiatives and strategies. Mentors others in the application of processes and tools. Drive RF design cycle time reduction and design quality improvements Drive the technical innovation leading to revenue generating patents across Honeywell Aerospace products Lead the technical contributions in the domain and provide inputs to strategies and technical roadmaps Identify business opportunities and unique innovative approaches to key methodologies and processes which have little precedent Work on regional initiatives and pursuits Understanding of the current technical issues in HW and to arrive at new solutions through development of prototypes, proof of concepts and creating new pursuits Application of working knowledge of several technologies, careful judgment, and application of modern technical tools to diverse, often difficult-to-define problems and requirementsKey Activities Able to mentor the Technical leads and RF engineers in terms of Technologies and nurturing new ideas Technical expert to mentor and groom engineers on the technical career path Inspire the team to Innovate and channelize the efforts of people towards revenue generating patents Support driving the talent management and competency development plan/strategy Responsible to minimizing the single point failures across domain through implementation of the strategies Demonstrating role model behavior in technical excellence Responsible for developing competencies that are required for the future growth in the domainCommunication Liaise / negotiate with the customers /partner representatives, such as, site co-coordinators, Quality representative, engineers, consultant on the technical aspect of the job and its progress Ability to identify upfront and clearly articulate the technical issues Develops technical network with teams across COE and share best practices in leveraging the ONE Honeywell Culture Frequently interacts with customers and Business Partners Presents complex information to Honeywell or outside companys executive management or equivalent with little or no preparation Creates new mechanisms for communicating information within and outside the SBE Providing significant interface with external technical committees and other industry experts Coordinate the development of location product strategies in cooperation with the business areas
