JOB RESPONSIBILITIESProduction Supervision of one or more areas of GPAS (Country Registration Support, Tax Reclaims, Onboarding, Broker Requests & Derivatives)Supervise function by reviewing daily work, addressing and resolving technical and logistical issues as they occur, thereby ensuring the accuracy of the Trading systems, and technical quality and timeliness.Ensure process is conducted in compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.Resolve and escalate problems.Supervise daily work so that it is performed within policy, procedural guidelines, and the department s review checklists.Ensure accurate and timely services to enable our accounts to trade any security, in any country, with any counterparty.Initiate setup and ongoing account maintenance with our internal systems and external counterpartiesResearch and identify opportunities for our funds to participate in tax relief at source opportunities.Manage and participate in various department projects. Identify project objectives, resources and barriers, and implement project strategies. Ensure successful and timely completion of projects.Plan and set departmental goals. Assist manager in developing and improving procedures given the current systems utilized and new systems being developed Process improvementLead and participate in various department projects, Identify project objective, resources and barriers, and implement project strategies; Ensure successful and timely completion of general group projects.Evaluate and offer suggestions for improvement to workflows, departmental policies and procedures.Lead testing of new systems/functionsDrive for solutions by continually seeking ways to reduce risk and streamline processesDrive for technical solutions allowing for continuing compliance with regulatory reporting requirementsStaff developmentLead training of staff on GPAS policies and processesConduct staff appraisals and identify development pathsMotivate and challenge staff to higher levels of performanceConduct annual performance evaluations Risk ManagementManage risk and prioritize the workload effectivelyEnsure that all work is performed in compliance with the highest client and data confidentiality standards, including but not limited to adhering to the GPAS confidentiality policies and FTS data confidentiality guidelinesEscalate potential issues at earliest possible opportunityHighlight issues and report root cause(s) and trends to managementRecommend and implement an action plan to meet objective when systems are down, system processes are not functioning, or other uncertainties in the system environment.Provide direction and make decisions during unexpected events. Assist in developing and maintaining business continuity procedures.Point of contact for audit inquiries, participate in meetings, and facilitate responses to requests from the auditors
