ScaleArc is looking for individuals with expert-level knowledge of SQL databases and protocols, including MySQL, MS SQL Server and/or Oracle is a must-have. Candidates with real world high scale database implementation experience will be preferred. The position will have a broad range of responsibilities and duties includingAssisting in issue reproduction and resolution.Developing and maintaining support diagnostic scripts and applications.Assisting QA in qualifying new builds for release to the Field.Assisting and supporting pre-sales opportunities and POCs.Constructing product documentation, installation and deployment guides, release notes.Engaging in technical training and professional services when needed.Working with Product Management on qualifying customer feature enhancement requests.Our current customers and prospects include 1) Web 2.0 companies (SaaS, online gaming, e-commerce, content & media portals), 2) cloud hosting service providers and 3) large / medium enterprises across many different industries.We offer market competitive benefits (e.g., Base/Bonus, Medical, Dental, etc.).Skill Set RequirementsStrong understanding of the SQL protocol, as well as MySQL, MS SQL and Oracle database technologies.Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems particularly CentOS 5.7+ and 6.2+Experience with creating and maintaining high availability environments.Expert level scripting skills in SQL, BASH and Python.Basic understanding of C and/or C++ is preferred.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a Level 2 Support Engineer, and someone who exhibits strong technical support leadership.Able to handle multiple project and customer cases at once.Very strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems down to the TCP Packet Level.Self-motivated and flexible.4-7 years experience as a Level 2 Support Engineer supporting database deployments at major accounts production environments.Having worked in a start-up environment a strong plus.Willing to travel if required.B.S. in Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
Degree: MCA/ PGDCA | ME/ M.Tech./ MS (Engg/ Sciences)

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)

Experience: 4-7
