Manage one or more group of associates and allocated resources as Operational Manager to support departmental projects and objectives according to agreed timelines and standards by optimally setting up talents, assets, and equipment to best serve business needs. Foster a culture of innovation, empowerment, trust, learning, diversity and inclusion and high performance. Leads and manages demanding projects and network activities and participates in cross-functional teams. 1). Leads a Team of up to 15 25 including Team Leads (OPMs) in the relevant DSM Functional Unit as Operational Manager in a direct leadership role. 2). Ensures high standards in objective setting, performance monitoring, review, and management, as well as development planning for associates are maintained in full alignment and collaboration with the relevant Functional Manager.3). Effectively manages the interface between the Functional Manger, India Team Leads and associates within the functional unit. 4). Foster the most talented associates in the field to be hired, trained, retained and developed according to the requirements of DSM.5). Coaches, mentors and develops India Team Leads in their role of Operational People manager. 6). Full member of the India DSM Leadership Team and proactively communicates key issues and any other critical topics in a timely manner to the appropriate management and/or to any other relevant project team member.7). Deputizes for the Functional/Franchise/Unit head as necessary at local decision-making boards. 8). Supports the continuous improvement of processes to maintain high quality standards and operational excellence.9). Achieves a true culture of empowerment and innovation, diversity and inclusion, trust, high performance and continuous improvement mind-set in the team. 10). Ensures that regulatory filings to health authorities are appropriately supported.11). Ensures compliance to all relevant standards (e.g. HSE, GMP, ISECO). Ensures that all solutions and products are delivered in compliance with all relevant corporate and legal guidelines on HSE and quality requirements. 12). Supports internal/external inspections and audits. Actively contributes to SOP creation, revision and update.13). Adherence to quality, quantity and timelines for all assigned tasks/projects. 14). GMP Compliance (number of deviations, technical issues, audit / inspection findings).15). Adherence to Novartis standards and Values & Behaviors, in particular, quality, ethical, health, safety, and environment standards (HSE), and information security standards (ISEC). 16). Refer to annual individual and team objective.17). Unit KPIs (e.g. FPFV (first patient first visit), LTA (lost time accident), FTR (first time right), Rework Rates, Recalls). Cross-functional KPIs. 18). Measurable contributions to efficiency and productivity increase.
Degree: M.Pharm. (Pharmacy) | MD/ MS (Medicine) | Ph.D. (Doctorate)

Additional Degree: B.Pharm. (Pharmacy) | B.Sc. (Science) | MBBS
