The role will be to carry out all Corporate Accounting activities and includes providing back office accounting support to the region, month end reporting and audit support. The Job includes executing all deliverables per SLA & maintaining noise free existing operations across regions. The role will also require supporting Statutory Account preparation & Roll-Forward to meet the Audit requirement and to deal with all queries related to any accounting issue. Job also requires dealing with other functions within and outside India GSC.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Activities, maximum 5 activities) 1) Process Function Ensure timely completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis. To ensure the accuracy & timely delivery of activities to achieve Green SLA. Ensure adherence to SOX requirements in process activities. To Interact with Counterparts in regional offices in AMER, Europe and AMEA on regular basis. Recommend process improvements along with implementation after consulting regional teams. Knowledge of Intercompany netting process and clearing foreign exchange fluctuations is preferable. Meeting the Targets on time by keeping the quality high. Always able to make alternative plan to meet the sudden change in requirements. To provide Information to internal & external auditors Communication with Business Support Identify and implement process improvement opportunities for various sub-processes, upstream or downstream process, as needed. Review financial reports for accuracy and issues. Utilize early warning system (analytical tools, etc.) to highlight critical concerns.Support manager on process improvements and major transformation projectsCommunicate with customers at a strategic level and align to customer needs and expectations Actively engage with customers to understand and address customer pain points Facilitate, support and develop team member including hire, train, fire, assess, performance, and recommend salary and classification changes. Continuously develop and document procedures to improve the quality and efficiency of processes. Serve as expert consultant for process flow, provides input on current practices and assesses alternative processes / technologies. 2) Others Should have a basic knowledge of all other departments. Maintain Training documents as ready reckoner for the team. Ensure proper backup plan in place. Always use controllership team feedback for proactive action in relation to all areas. Provide direction and coaching to the operations team for delivery of goals, promote a learning culture and build a strong team QualificationsRequired Skills/QualificationsCA/CWA/MBA (F) with 3 years of experience or M.Com/CA(I)/CWA (I) with more than 5 yrs experience or B.Com with more than 6 years of experience including finalization of Accounts, General Ledger Accounting and possesses Good Analytical skills. Experience will be required in finalization of Accounts, in-depth Accounting experience preferably in Corporate Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, month end closing, P&L Analysis, Balance Sheet review and reconciliations, MIS reporting, possesses good analytical skills. Accounting KnowledgeExpert Knowledge of Accounting Principles, concepts and standards (local and International as applicable) and the ability to apply them to the company's Accounting practices. Ability to coordinate and interact with other functions/processed for accounting related matters. System KnowledgeGood knowledge of the relevant systems like People soft, Essbase etc. Depth and Breadth of Business/ process knowledgeExtensive Knowledge of process that one is working on, its upstream/ downstream dependencies and impacts on the books of accounts, brand image, cost allocation, etc. Relevant Accounting / Management Policy knowledgeAbility to effectively leverage the Understanding of key/ critical Financial and Management policies of the organization and detailed understanding of policies which impact the Corporate Accounting processes. Control and Compliance SkillsApplication and Understanding of key Control and compliance requirements of the organization and implication of non-compliance, like metrification, control self-assessment, SOX, etc. Analytical SkillsApplication of quality principles and systems of checks and balances for process improvement, exceeding customer expectation, compliance adherence etc. like P&L Analysis, Balance Sheet Review, etc. Domain KnowledgeEffectively leveraging the Understanding of business drivers and their impact; general knowledge of specific domains like USGAAP, IFRS, etc. Audit Skills Ability to understand, interpret and provide information and support to meet the audit requirements for their respective regions for various PLC, statutory and internal auditsOther SkillsPossess good communication/presentation skills and overall a pleasing personality. Must be willing to travel and must have valid Passport, open for Night shifts during close (4-5 days in a month), open for shift timings during the month. People Management Skills (Role Specific) Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop the team (4-6) Experience of 1-2 years in Team Lead position 2+ year Team Management Experience ACCOUNTABILITYNumber of employees supervised Direct 1-6 Indirect - NILKey Metrics To achieve Green rating for SLAdeliverables.
