Lead a team of market researchers delivering both qualitative and quantitative research that provides Gartner analysts with insight and meaning, enabling them to create fact-based research to validate and support Gartner positions, providing greater value for Gartner clients. Manage a team of market researchers that - stay ahead of market research trends by vetting new vendor partners and exploring/adopting new methodologies or technologies - provide guidance based on market research best practices to analysts and other internal stakeholders - manage projects within allocated budgets - work to define project scope, select the most appropriate methodology, understand feasibility and set project schedules - ensure surveys are field-ready and respondent-friendly - manage third-party market research partners used for survey programming, sample selection and data collection - clean, process and report data in the form of crosstabs and PPTs provided back to D&D or directly to analysts Strategic AlignmentCultivate Market Research Centre of Excellence (CoE); benchmarking deliverables against industry and best practice for continuous improvement and high impact, explore and identify new MR methodologies/innovation to provide a fact base.Link ROI/value to all market research initiatives, enabling investment in high impact projects that link directly in to retention, new business etc.Continuous evaluation and reflectionwhilst identifying opportunities for improvement to promote agility and continue to provide high quality service. QualificationsUndergraduate degree in market research, statistics, marketing, sociology, humanities or sciences is preferred; advanced degree preferred.10 years of experience in Market Research industry, including end-to-end knowledge of how to effectively manage primary research qualitative and quantitative projects from a B2B or consumer perspective. Strong track record of leadership in a work setting / managed teams of 5-10+ people is preferable.Experience in market research operations and project execution.Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to coach others individually or as part of a team.Strong analytical and reasoning skills.Ability and willingness to work on short deadlines and handle multiple projects at a time.Good authoring, attention to details and proof-reading ability.Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, PPT and Word.Leadership & People ManagementManage, nurture and develop a team of individual contributors.Foster a safe, engaging, innovative no limits mindset and teamwork environment across direct reports, Primary Research, Secondary Research Services, RSO and Research.Lead and promote best practice in design, execution, process & delivery of market research results.Work towards scalable team structures and processes building career paths and providing growth opportunities for high performers.Talent & Skills Evolution - assess need for new roles/skills within primary research.Lead regularteam meetings encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and introducingdiscussion topics and/or guest speakers.Develop a First Team culture work closely with peer managers to build trust, encourage team work and identify synergies to capitalize for highest impact.
