Specific ResponsibilitiesThe Business Analyst works directly with internal and external staff (from technical to senior level) to execute against support requests and project timelines. This includes direct communication with clients, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors. The Business Analyst must master the functionality of the business intelligence tool and develop expertise in the product terrain in order to perform the main responsibilities of the job, including- Ongoing Data Refreshes The Business Analyst is responsible for working with members to overcome issues with ongoing data refreshes, including situations where data is delayed or quality problems are found.- Support Requests The Business Analyst discusses requirements with Dedicated Advisors and Members. He/she offers recommendations for solutions, tradeoffs, and timelines. In conjunction with the member, the BA determines the ideal solution to meet the business need. He/she creates a ticket with detailed requirements for a Data Analyst to complete. Ultimately, the BA verifies that the final, completed solution meets the members requirements and walks the member through the finished product.- Troubleshooting The Business Analyst discusses concerns with members and Dedicated Advisors and clarifies reproduction steps. He/she explains site functionality and data flow to mitigate concerns where possible. When issues are found, the BA identifies likely root cause and communicates next steps to the member. For simple issues (for example, a small front end configuration or mapping change) the BA may communicate the root cause and make the change him/herself. For more complex issues, he/she triages and creates a ticket explaining reproduction steps to the Data Analyst and directing the Data Analyst towards likely solutions. The BA is then responsible for guaranteeing full resolution of the issue and communicating solutions back to the member.In addition to these standard client support activities, the Business Analyst will also be responsible for identifying process improvements for the services team, working closely with other internal teams, including working with Product Management and Development for rolling out new product releases and Account Management/Delivery for member maintenance.
