Reporting to the Head, Technical Services, the successful candidate will work closely with the Technical Services and Sales/Marketing Research and Development/quality teams to provide equipment technical expertise, product application knowledge, and data management in order to support the Sales/Marketing groups of the company in gaining, developing and maintaining the business/ customer relationships.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide "best in class" technical support to all industrial and metal working lubricant product groups Support the Sales Team, their distributors and customers (support will include a wide range of industries, including Food, General Manufacturing, Fleet and Construction, Steel, Power Generation, Mining, and various other Industries Conduct(organize) plant lubrication surveys and prepare lube survey reports Liaise with Marketing/Sales/ Research and Development/quality lab to develop and launching of products, support oil analysis programs/in resolving perceived product quality issues. Co-ordinate/Lead and support Customer Acceptance Tests and Research and Development/Marketing Product Development Field Trials Investigate and resolve product application problems by conducting root cause analysis Represent the company as the technical subject matter expert for all segment product applications to support Sales in new business opportunities Provide proactive technical support to the Sales Team to grow existing and new business in various segments while developing strong customer relationships Develop, modify and present technical presentations and organize and participate in training seminars of customers, distributors, and within the company. Provide industry specific field knowledge to the Sales, R&D, and Marketing departments regarding product performance, customer needs, and industry trends Complete Lubricants Cross-Referencing and input to the Head,Technical Service Advisor for updating of the database Support for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Product Approvals and act as the Lead for updating of the OEM Approvals and Specifications/ Databases Desired Skills and ExperienceREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred) or Science (Chemistry preferred) (with Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS) certification per Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) exam as an additional asset); or Technology Diploma (Mechanical or Chemical preferred) with CLS certification per STLE exam Minimum 10-15 years of experience in a petroleum, base oils/lubricants, and equipment related fields Minimum 10-15 years of experience with excellent knowledge of Lubricants development, testing protocols, equipment application and performance, and equipment reliability Prior technical sales or technical advisor field experience in the above listed industry segments is considered a very strong asset Skills and Knowledge Advanced computer literacy in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), SAP, CRM, Internet Wed-based database management Heavy focus of knowledge of Commercial and Industrial Lubricants and their applications for rotating equipment in a wide range of industries, including Food, General Manufacturing, Fleet and Construction, Steel, Power Generation, Mining, and various other industries Knowledge of base oil refining technologies and chemical industry processes and the chemical affects imparted on base oils and lubricants by those technologies Ability to lead Customer Acceptance Trials Ability to lead comprehensive investigations and root cause analysis to resolve perceived product quality issues Excellent written and oral presentation skills for audiences of varying s, backgrounds, and levels of expertise Willingness and ability to travel extensively and sometimes in remote areas with adverse conditions Willingness and ability to interact with customers outside regular working hours as required Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality and Environment Systems protocols. Excellent demonstrated organizational and time management skills Strong interpersonal skills coupled with strong oral presentation and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams as well as working independently with minimal supervision /proactive continuous improvement and initiative to build best in class processesWORKING CONDITIONS Extensive travel is and as required, primarily within the country
