Job Details

1. Find and troubleshoot product defects.2. Support application use and deployment. 3. Communicates directly with customers on a daily basis at all with working levels within customer organizations and within Itron. Listens effectively to understand and address the overall impact of issues as they affect the customer (processes, resources, time).4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.5. Install, maintain and administer system operations, networking, software and equipment.6. Investigate product and process related problems7. Develop solutions to hardware, software and process related issues.8. Create and maintain product and internal department and training documentation and files.9. Contribute to current and future product development to ensure customer issues are addressed and changes to product do not negatively impact the customer. 10. Provide assistance in the development and maintenance of various system applications.11. Prepare briefings, reports, presentations and evaluations on system efficiency and utilization.12. Train internal employees and customers in configuration, troubleshooting and use of products. 13. Participate on the beta phase of product development teams.14. Investigates and isolates product related problems. Works with customers and internal employees to troubleshoot and characterize reported issues.15. Documents and communicates issues and resolutions using a variety of formats. Logs issues, tracks progress and updates the customer, the departments involved and internal/external management. Creates and updates knowledge base documents.16. Present and implement solutions to customers.17. Participate in product technical training classes.18. May participate and provide feedback on the beta phase of product development teams.19. Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex problems.20. Install, maintain and administer system operations, networking, software and equipment.21. Implement solutions for customers (install, configure, test, train, customize) 22. Read and interpret design documents.Skill Sets1. Basic understanding with IP networking including cellular.2. Basic SQL Database experience including DBMS and queries (MSSQL and/or Oracle).3. Experience and understanding of complex system architecture and integration.4. System Administration (installation, monitoring, and operation)5. Basic understanding of networking (load balancing, firewalls, security, certificates)6. Basic Utility (Electric/Water/Gas) business/metering/product understanding7. Basic understanding in debugging/programming (especially with MS .NET and C#)8. Proficient Microsoft OS knowledge (for upgrades, certificate info, security, IIS, etc.)9. Proficiency with customer CRM applications is an advantage10. Familiarity with MS Office tools Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
