Responsibilities includeProvide technical support for all Extreme productsAbility to analyze, configure, and troubleshoot large complex networks with mixed media and various combinations of networking protocols.Builds complex lab setups to duplicate and resolve customer problems. Work with engineering teams to report defects and improve hardware and software quality.Effectively works with Services teams as well as cross-functional teams to resolve major customer issues.Provides systems/product training both internally and externally.Drive for continuous learning, results orientation and teamwork.Become a Subject Matter Expert in at least one area of technology.Willingness to travel up to 25% internationallyTechnical Skills RequestedAble to troubleshoot networking problems and deliver solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction. Strong working knowledge of Routing & Switching.Strong working knowledge of Wireless Networking.Strong working knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP and SNMP.Network Management Systems knowledge is a plus.Knowledge in Windows and Linux/UnixExperienced in utilizing scientific methods to solve problemsActive Extreme Networks Specialist (ENS) certificationActive Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certificationExperience delivering customer support through's Service CloudExperience developing KB solutions via a Knowledge-Centered Support (KCS) methodologyAbility to deliver technical support via social-collaborationTechnical Skills PreferredActive Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)Active Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) or Expert (CWNE)Advanced knowledge of routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF & BGPAdvanced knowledge of Wireless Networks and Security ProtocolsAdvanced knowledge of Windows Servers, with emphasis on Active Directory, IAS/NPS Radius, DHCP and DNSAdvanced knowledge of virtual machines (VMware, Citrix, Red Hat, Microsoft) Soft Skills RequestedExcellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.Ability to function effectively in ambiguous circumstances.Shares information and communicates clearly with team members to improve team effectiveness.
