Job Details

The Technical Support Specialist's role is to ensure proper computer operations so that end users can accomplish organizational tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostics and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give hands-on help to the end user.Technical Support Specialist Job DutiesReceive and log support calls. Works with customer to assign initial severity level to the problem and initiates the case resolution workflowPerform first level problem determination to identify and isolate failure point including hardware, network, application, training and / or documentationYoull have a combination of the followingA Bachelor s or an Associates degree in IT, software, systems, or other equivalent experience2-5 years of professional networking, systems, or IT experience3-5 years of Technical Support experience is a plusExperience working with Windows (a must) and Linux (a plus) environmentsAbility to quickly assess and quickly understand networking and server issuesExperience with Incident ResponseNetwork or security certifications is a bonus Provide hands-on support and engineering work in the Windows 2008R2/2012/2012R2 server environmentsKnowledge of Microsoft DirectAccess, networking and security features of Windows 2012/2012R2 is a mustEvaluates system potential by testing compatibility of new programs with existing programs.Ability to be part of a team and follow instructions accurately and effectivelyTesting hardware and software and follow instructions accurately and effectivelyGood verbal and written communications as the engineer will need to interface with the end users and the key stakeholders in the companyMaintains historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions.Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Server hardware and rack / stack experienceAssist with Client server connectivity issues.
Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
