Reporting directly to the US based Operations Manager, make sound business decisions and take responsibility for the overall performance of the US offshore operation comprising of 100+ staff split across two sites in India.Overall day-to-day management of the Indian based operations team.Ensure operational controls are in place and monitored against service level agreements and contract terms & conditions (adherence to policies, operating procedures, control standards, meeting challenging deadlines and supervision of staff).Oversight of day-to-day control performance of operations and service delivery including tracking daily metrics, oversight of operational processing queues, and escalation to management of daily operating issues across AP, T&E, and Fixed Assets processing.Perform a control self assessment process (CSA); manage to close allCSA actions per schedule; and interface with Auditors during scheduled audits and ad hoc reviews.Drive operational improvement projects across the departmentKey operations stakeholder in strategic projectsRegularly and constructively appraise staff on their performance in both formal and informal meetingsPerform ad-hoc administrative and management reportingBuild and maintain a strong rapport with the internal client base, location leads and globalCAP peersDesired Candidate ProfileMBA/ CA with 8 to 12 years of experience of which at least 5 years should be in Finance / Accounting Operations (Accounts Payable Operations experience preferred) and necessarily in a Managerial capacityA background in the Financial Services industry, knowledge of accounting standards / experience in Accounts Payable or related functions is essential.Knowledge of industry practice and corporate tax regulations is desirable.Excellent relationship management skills with ability to deal effectively with all levels of managementQuick learner with the ability to identify and drive changes to the business functions, organization and processesStrong teamwork and change management skills, a willingness to embrace an operating environment that spans multiple time zones, virtual teams, multiple locations, cultures and superior attention to detailStrong logical and analytical skillsExcellent desk top skills (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, MS PowerPoint) with the ability to quickly learn and master new applicationsKnowledge of accounting policies and the company s procedures and controls desirableFlexible work hours / US shift coverage required
Degree: CA (Chartered Accountant) | MBA/ PGDM
