Maintain the IKEA website and mobile applications by co-ordinating ongoing content changes, search optimisation and translation work, securing information accuracy and consistency and ensuring that changes are made on time; all this to secure that it is in shape as new every day.Ensure that all in life content is built to brand guidelines, reflects the IKEA brand values, copy and visual identity, tone of voice and quality standards and through this contribute to an optimal digital consumer decision journey.MOTIVATIONInterested in different methods of communicationInterested in the worldwide web and its importance in today's society and the potential this gives IKEAPassion for the nuances of writing for the web and an appreciation for the needs and expectations of users. ESSENTIALS FOR PARTICULAR JOBExperienced to follow style and copy guidelines and briefsExperienced in meeting deadlines and managing publishing schedulesDemonstrated skills in writing, editing and effective communicationDemonstrated ability to effectively organise, prioritise and manage a high-volume of assignmentsDemonstrated conceptual and logical abilities; proven ability to think creatively as well as strategically and tacticallyExperienced in communicating in English, with various audiences both verbally and in writing A background in journalism, or may have worked previously in marketingExperience in creating and editing web content through a content management systemExperience with Illustrator and InDesign Plan the style and relevance of copy required and the frequency with which it will need updating; create schedules, agree and follow-up on deadlines.Ensure the copy on the IKEA country website translated from global content is accurate and of high creative quality, creative guidelines and search keyword strategies do apply and the IKEA tone of voice is met.Ensure that all editorial areas of the IKEA website and mobile applications, e.g. PR, HR, Sustainability, Customer Relations, Sales and e-commerce have vibrant and up to date content throughout the year.Partner with functions (e.g. PR, global web team, customer relations, e-commerce) across the organisation to define and develop relevant local content in order to optimise web content and functionality.JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGEUp to date knowledge of competitor activities and market trends Have a broad understanding of copyright laws and data protectionIKEA Brand, Culture and ValuesUnderstanding of user-centric web content and a strong instinct for usability and effective content organisationKnowledge of best web content practices, browser functionalityGood knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and how digital media channels can be supported by contentKnowledge of how to maintain logical directory structure and files on web server, including the handling of naming conventionsKnowledge of the fundamentals of grammar, syntax, style and punctuationBasic understanding of web coding.
