A day in the life of a business development manager might include tasks like1. Writing proposals and specifications.2. Crafting training programs.3. Hiring instructors.4. Conducting workshops.5. Competitive analysis.6. Contract review with potential new clients.7. Collaboration with the marketing department.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.2. Provide timely accurate competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.3. Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales and activity reports submitted by Account Executives.4. Control expenses to meet budget guidelines Customer.5. Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses.6. Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.7. Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees Internal Process.8. Prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.9. Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.10. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.11. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.12. Ensure that all Account Executives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.13. Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.14. Set examples for Account Executives in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills and work habits.
