Responsibilities Windows server management Install, secure, monitor, manage, maintain, and retire Windows servers, both physical and virtual in a global & high availability environment. Manage service requests within published SLA. 90% of time will be spent working on global VM Windows servers remotely, by means of service-now requests, customers requests and team requests. Manage, secure& support Active Directory globally. Manage and collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to minimize system downtime with timely & appropriate communication to customers and EIS management. Provide quick response, and promote quality customer support and services to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Ensure Windows standards, processes, procedure, and best practices are efficient, effective, documented, and adhered to. Manage customer expectations by providing timely status updates (written and/or verbal), prioritize and categorize customer requests, and keep customer informed of progress, finally deliver best solutions. Keep improving team efficiency and performance, with use of scripts or tools where possible, Automate processes cautiously to save manual work.Requirements Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 3 years of working experience managing IT enterprise Physical &VMware Windows servers & services, HP model is a plus. Solid knowledge of system management and methodologies specifically related to VMWare, Windows-based operating system, networking/distributed computing environment concepts, and systems security. Ability to problem solve quickly and ability to propose clear viable tactical & strategic options & solution Good scripting skills in powershell, perl, and Object Oriented coding skills to automate processes. Thorough understanding and work experience with AD environment, SSH, DNS, VMWare, name resolution, and network firewall are a must. Proficient in using MS Office, MS Project and Visio for project management & documentation. Knowledge and/or experience with NetApps storage, EMC storage, NetBackup, and SQL database are a plus. Excellent problem solving and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a cross-functional global team. Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. Effectively coordinate with other team members globally. Sufficient written communications skills for report writing and business correspondences in an organized, complete and concise manner. Ability to verbally present complex concepts and technical information to non-technical audience in a clear and concise fashion. Ability to convey information clearly via phones or other communication tools remotely. Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to conduct business with others in a diplomatic and professional manner. Ability to interact positively, clearly, and professionally with customers, peers and upper management. Flexible, open minded, self motivated, fast learner, initiative, reliable, and a team player. Ability to multi-task, work independently & calmly under pressure and/or stress Good written and verbal English communication skills
