Roles and Responsibilities1. The candidate will be working in a highly dynamic, fast changing and fluid work environment with exposure to HPE's latest hardware and software products.2. Troubleshoot failures and collaborate with partners or customers to find resolution as a Level 3 support engineer3. Act as a focal point for Windows, VMware and Hyper-V related issues, including support, consultation, planning work and changes implementation4. Generate performance reports, perform analysis of failures, identify trends, recommend and implement solutions5. Respond to Major Incident requests to resolve escalations (skills HPSM. ITIL v3, complex problem resolution)6. Configure standard tools, OS parameters tuning, hotfixes installation, drivers and firmware upgrade as part of support requirements7. Assist in server build process and change implementation (SAN add, server patching) as required by other support partners8. Participate in projects to upgrade, improve or change configuration of servers / infrastructure as directed by Delivery Manager9. Ensure all cases are acted upon conscientiously and in the framework expected according to the defined SLA.10. Provide clear and unambiguous communication via email or voice, whichever appropriate with customer or Incident Management on Incident and service request.11. Work closely in a global team which may be physically located on the same premise or virtually QualificationsEducation and Experience RequiredBachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science or Engineering with 3 to 6 years related experience in IT Enterprise environment Knowledge and Skills Required Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Fluent in English and possess good written and verbal communication Possesses good interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset Good working knowledge of networking, understanding of TCP/IP, able to interpret routing table Available to work in rotating day shift including weekends and Public Holidays if situation demands Good and proven knowledge in systematic IT troubleshooting and root cause analysis Ability to configure and design infrastructure solution based to resolve escalated issues Technical skills requirement in the following areas o Microsoft Windows Servers OS - Windows Servers 2003, Windows Servers 2008, Windows Servers 2012o VMware vSphere, vCenter, SRM, HAo HPE servers, blade technologies, good understanding in Storage concept Microsoft certification (MCTS / MCSE / MCITP / MCSA) is preferred Must have ITIL certification Any of the following certification will be a plus (VMware VCP, HP ATP, AIS, ASE, MASE) Knowledge of Backup solutions are added advantage
Additional Degree: BA (Arts) | B.Com. (Commerce) | B.Pharm. (Pharmacy) | B.Plan. (Planning) | B.Sc. (Science) | BBA/ BBM/ BBS | BCA (Computer Application) | Diploma-Other Diploma | B.Ed. (Education) | BHM (Hotel Management)
